The OSI model of networking is composed of 7 “layers”. Application, Presentation, Session, Transport, Network, Data Link, Physical in order from top to bottom. The mnemonic I learned is: “All people seem to need data processing” which is nicely appropriate. ---

A princip_le_ is a ru_le_. The princi_pal_ is my _pal_. StalaCtites Cling to the Ceiling. StalaGmites Grow from the Ground. For the resistor colors, we were first taught the politically correct version: Big Buicks Run on Yellow Gas, But Volkswagens Go Without. Then we were given the version we would actually remember, with a stern warning not to use it in mixed company. ---
