I’ll admit that I only read the first page of this but I have to tell you of a good friend of mine I worked with in the early 90’s. His name always recalled sci-fi to me. Harry Flotron I know that it’s not the best…but he was older and retiring when I left. It’s pronounced ‘flowtron’…I’ve always dug it. ---

I work with a guy named Loyed Faux. I think that’s the coolest name EVER. It’s pronounced like “Lloyd Fox” but I usually call him “Low-yed Foe” because thats how it looks like it should be pronounced. Off subject, but my best friend (we work together) said she had a customer named Gayle Crapton. Come on now! Crapton? I laughed for like, 15 minutes at that. ---

Hate to drag up this old post, just thought I would say hello and tell “Walkabout” that I am flattered. I don’t know if you are referring to me or my father but thank you for mentioning “us”. A friend of my girlfriend is named **Steamboat Buddy Rock**. Mom named all the kids before him, and when he came up dad said “my turn.” Still the best name ever. ---

The mascot where I went to school, University of Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri School of Science & Technology) is Joe Miner. There was a civil engineering professor named Joe Minor. ---

My friend from High School (class of 99 to put a time stamp on it) was named Ginger Rodgers. She got married and changed her name to Ginger Kozlik (cause-lick). She’s recently divorced and i’m hoping she changes it back. ---

FOAF (but totally verified; he was my dance partner at said friend’s wedding) is named Sky Dance. Hippie parents, of course. He goes by Sky and I’m sure most people assume he’s called Schuyler. Speaking of hippie parents, my cousin is named [Tonatiuh](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tonatiuh). ---
