# cool new features, improvements, fixes

Not for every little change, just ones you like. For all changes, go to the vB site and look at all the release notes from this release back to our old one (3.0.7?). 🙂

There’s now a [noparse][noparse][/noparse] code. That’s the only new code I found at our vB code reference (currently located at [http://boardstest.straightdope.com/sdmb/misc.php?do=bbcode](http://boardstest.straightdope.com/sdmb/misc.php?do=bbcode)). No more kludging to break possibly offensive links or to get vB coding to display in a post! Yay!

Post linking (what I call the “link to post in context”) now positions the page correctly. Example: [SDMB: vB Coding and tips](http://boardstest.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=7698936#post7698936). It had been doing this incorrectly for some of us.

[noparse]So noparse is like **this**?[/noparse] That could come in handy for explaining how to do coding stuff as well.

hey I _like_ that!  
The “we support control keys for formatting” thing is too little too late; I’ve had control-b mapped to [noparse]**[/noparse] and control-alt-b mapped to [noparse]**[/noparse] and so forth since the board’s debut as a uBB board, so long ago that it didn’t have buttons and everyone had to type in their formating codes manually.
