I just came across an interesting site I hadn’t seen before and I thought I’d pass it along. [Famous Pictures:The Magazine](http://www.famouspictures.org/mag/index.php?title=Main_Page) tells you the story behind iconic photographs and videos. ---

Interesting site, it’s just a shame that so many of the thumbnails that say ‘click for larger image’ only lead to Amazon links. ---

One I was surprised by was the picture of the sailor kissing the nurse on VJ Day. I had never known that there was a second photographer who took a picture of the same couple. ---

The site is cool but fucking a’, the ads are annoying. They’re right in the middle of the article and if you click on a picture that says, “This image is in the public domain” it takes you to Amazon.
