Right now, the sun is just under the horizon and the stratus clouds are all red and orange. What is unusual is that there is this red orange vertical shaft of light coming from the edge of the horizon. I’d say the beam of light reaches to about halfway to directly overhead. Is there a name for this phenomena? I’ve never seen this before and would like to see images of more examples
