# Cool three dollar note origami flower

Want to leave a truly spectacular tip? Have to wait too long for the check of your Thanksgiving dinner without anything to keep yourself (or the kids) busy? Or do you just need a nice way to give somebody a gift of money?

that looks cool! Man, I wish I still had my mad skillz in origami - when I was kid, I had books on the stuff and made peacocks and monkeys and stuff…but no cool money flowers.

Oh! It’s three one-dollar notes. Cool!

I was thinking, “What is anyone doing making origami out of [three-dollar notes](http://www.sonofthesouth.net/texas/republic-texas-currency.htm), which are collectors’ items from the 1800s?”

I assumed that Canada had a 3 dollar note and I was just not aware of it.

I used to do that with the foil from a pack of cigarettes…somehow, I never thought of it as origami, just as “a bar trick.”
