Um, connasse is a derivative of a vulgar French slang (“con”), which is best translated as “cunt”. Connasse is a feminine cunt; connard swings both ways.
Lovely little nickname they got there.
Lesson learned:
In a busines environment (or in ‘mixed company’), slang terms for certain groups of people (whether based on region, religion, ethnicity, language, skin color, etc…) is always inappropriate. Note that ‘business environment’ means in front of or in speaking to one’s boss, peers, customers, vendors, or visitors.
This isn’t PC, it’s good business sense and proper etiquette.
Replace ‘slang terms for certain groups of people’ with ‘comments on personal appearance’ or ‘sexually loaded comments’ for other good lessons.
