# COPS unconstitutional?

I read recently that a group was trying to have COPS pulled off the air due its violation of its “stars” constitutional rights. Something to the effect that it depicted people as criminals prior to their having received due process…or something. Does this argument have merit? Am I misinformed? Are they just trying to keep shirtless felons off the air? What gives?

There is a disclaimer during the opening of the show that says that “everyone depicted is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law”. That should cover them.
