I want to make a ring, with the coin as it’s centerpiece. I don’t care what metal the ring is made of, as long as it is cheap. What kind of cost am I looking at? Any online jewelers to do this for me? Again-cheap. Thanks, hh ---

Ask a silversmith what the cost would be? What size coin are you thinking of? That will affect cost, since a larger coin could potentially take more metal to create a setting for it. ---

Though I am not a jeweler, I’m not sure I’d go with a coin much above the size of a penny, MAYBE the size of a nickel. (For me, personally I’d probably go with something no bigger than a dime though.) What coin is it exactly? What size are your hands for that matter as well. Go ask a silversmith (they do still exist) what they could do for you. ---

I originally read the title as “Cops to build a ring around a coin?,” thinking that the police were coming up with some new anti-counterfeiting measure. But then… who would counterfeit coins? :dubious: ---
