# Copy and Paste on Snopes.com

Why is it that I cannot copy and paste from [Snopes.com](http://Snopes.com) anymore? Any help out there?

A javascript script. Disable javascript and you can copy whatever.

They are apparently using a Javascript routine to disable the copy/paste function. It’s similar to Javascript code some use to disable right-click functions. Disable Javascript and you can copy/paste all you want.

Wow, I just hit “Temporarily allow [snopes.com](http://snopes.com)” in NoScript, and I have to say…that is extremely obnoxious. And a prime example of why I use [NoScript](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722).

Do they still show Mr. Yuk if you try to hotlink an image from there?
