How do I copy some data from Excel to Word so that it is not in a chart of cells but can be moved around as if it is simply text?

Thanks!

Copy as usual in excel. In word, use the paste special command (in the edit menu) and select the unformatted text option.

Or use a text editor as a go-between. 🙂
