# Cord Blood Banking

Is banking your child’s cord blood worth it? It seems to be marketed pretty strongly. Are the benefits proven or more potential at this point? What do most doctors recommend? Finally, do the benefits fit with the costs?

Beyond personal cord blood banking, I assume there are no drawbacks to simply donating cord blood. Would this be correct?
