Corner Crossing - Large portions of US public land inaccessible to public

I’m so glad to see this! The idea that stepping from one public parcel to another could be illegal is ridiculous. How many of us own property with a sidewalk and and that someone simply swinging their arm beyond the edge of that sidewalk as they walk could be thought of as trespassing is crazy.

I read the ruling and learned what complete assholes the rich landowners are. They really didn’t want those hunters in their personal hunting refuge so drove ATVs around to scare off the game. Glad to see these assholes can now expect more people. Heck, I’m tempted to go check out these sections.

Harassing wildlife is illegal. Let’s prosecute! Thanks be for this judgement!

So the big questions are about the Supreme Court: will it be appealed to the Supreme Court? If so, will the Supreme Court agree to hear the case? If so, how will the Supreme Court decide?

I don’t expect the Supreme Court will touch this (and thus, let the lower-court judgement stand). On the one hand, reversing this decision will make them even more unpopular than they already are, and on the other, none of those Western landowners are Trump.

But how many of these rich assholes are donating to Trump? Or better question, how MUCH are these rich assholes donating to Trump?

Do they offer ultra exclusive RV hookups on majestic, private land for their friends?

Of course they do!

This isn’t exactly corner crossing, and isn’t BLM land (NF instead), but it is related and pisses me off greatly! This billionaire asshole is being nominated to lead the National Forest, an agency that he has repeatedly battled with and ignored their rules. Of course he is also a big donor to the MAGA party.

Gift link to NY Times article of rich people doing whatever the fuck they want with no consequences.

We are fucked: Corner crossing headed to Supreme Court. Get out there and enjoy that public land before it is inaccessible except to the rich land owners that border it.

SCOTUS is really busy, there is a good chance they wont even accept it.

Overturning the lower court ruling would be a boon to rich conservatives. I expect it to go to the top of the pile.

But does Trump, personally, own any of those surrounding parcels?

Very good point and I would assume the answer is “hell no” unless there is potential for a tower construction or a golf course nearby. Maybe the SCOTUS won’t pick this up. Pretty, pretty please do not!
