I once went to a really weird party (and I may have some details a little shaky) at an art gallery. The bathrooms were upstairs and the entire floor space minus a little and a little more for the washrooms was a big room with some people playing bags (what we usually call OP’s cornhole). The little space was a room in which this guy I met lived, above the gallery. We got to talking and made a wager. $10 for him throwing 3 of 5 in the hole. Damned if he didn’t sink the first three throws, didn’t even need a fourth toss. He tried to talk me out of paying and was kind of apologetic but damned if I’m not going to respect that skill. Paid him the bet and he declined a drink downstairs at the party bar downstairs. ---

We’ve had practice games for 2 evenings. Many arguments. It seems they can’t agree on the rules. I’m not playing. But I have refereed several fusses. I told them to get together or I was confiscating the game. What are these people? Teenagers? They’ve reverted back to their youth. I may have to send them to their rooms. :Smack: ---

TIL there were different friction properties on the different sides, although I did notice that the bags will sometimes skid differently at different times. Despite this gap in knowledge I was never the worst cornholer at the few parties I’ve played it at, having done quite a fair share of bowling in my time. ---

Ok. We’ve had 5 days of practice games. A multitude of arguments. Me screaming out the door I was coming out there if they didn’t shut-up. Time-outs where the little ‘kids’ played. Nicely. I might add. Two or Three near heat strokes. Son-of-a-wrek thinking he could sneak the sprinkler on and I wouldn’t notice. The lil’wrekker has skinned knees. Hamza, the PPB is the best player. Everyone hates him because he’s never missed. I told him I understand. When you’re good at a thing these low-lifes hold it against you. I should know, they won’t let me play Scrabble or Trivial pursuit. I told him prepare for banning. The big tourney is this weekend. Oh, boy. I cannot wait. ---

it started as the new bar/pub sport about 4 or 5 years ago when darts and billiards and bowling fell out of favor then got organized with leagues and such A friend of mine whos really in a hotspot for it was banned from the amature/non league tourneys after winning 19 out of 26 so she joined the official league … She says if you’re good at underhanded pitching sports /games like skee ball horseshoes bowling etc you’ll do great at it ---

Hamza was a very good baseball pitcher in highschool. He helped coach some girls softball for awhile. He’s good. ---

Well…we have a winner. It wasn’t Hamza. mid-Daughter hid her light under bushel(corn themed) and blew them all outta the water. Hamza wasn’t even 2nd. He choked. The lil’wrekker was 2nd. A new game is planned for Saturday. Oh, joy. ---

Beanbag toss for the one currently called cornhole. I never heard the cornhole name before about 2 years ago. As a kid we played [toss across](https://www.mattelgames.com/games/en-us/toss-across). If you add 3 more holes to the board and do some labeling, you can play [dartball](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/9b/Dartball_board.jpg) with the bags. My grandfather was in his church league for most of his retired life. I don’t recall most of the rules but there were 5 people per team. I think if you didn’t get a hit, you were out and the fifth player had to clear the bases.
