Pretty amazingly, the only state to set a new (seven day averaged) Daily reported cases of Covid is **Vermont** , with 259 as of October 16. Nobody else is even in the pink, meaning that averaged reported cases are declining in all other states. ---

I can hear already the screeching of the anti-vaxxers over the mere possibility that schools may be vaxxing their children. * * * I haven’t read the news yet about FDA doing all those approvals today, but from prior news, I think there is still a step remaining: Now that FDA has approved the boosters, I believe CDC must also approve. Then we can “officially” begin to get our boosters. That is expected to be a _pro forma_ step, and should happen Real Soon Now – maybe later this week or next week? ---

Here’s an interesting article. Weather that causes people to spend more time indoors appears to have a large effect on the number of cases. The CDC sets policies about how the shot is administered, who should get the shots, et cetera… Their advisory panel is scheduled to meet on 10/21, so guidance should be issued in a few days.
