For years we have hoped for a disease that targets right wingers and would selectively thin their ranks.
We finally get one and what do all the lefties do? Try their damnedest to save the rightists from themselves. We just can’t help ourselves; decency is just built in to us.

Cases are falling in Panama too. Daily cases are starting to drop below 1,000, a level they were last at on November 23. The Rt has dropped to 0.77.
Mine as well. My bio mom is in a nursing home in that state , 95+ years old and hasn’t even had a chance to be vaccinated, so I lost my cool. I’ll do my best to not do so again.

The mechanics of this have been clarified over the past few days. Students will be tested in school once a week. People who want the coronavirus test to visit a barber, etc. can get one for free at pharmacies and at dedicated testing centres. One such centre is going to be established at the famous Schönbrunn palace in Vienna because hey, it’s not being used by tourists any more.

There is a man here in Hawaii who was struck by lightning last year and lived. And he recently contracted Covid but is expected to survive. He sounds pretty tough.

The number of cases is trending downward just about everywhere. I wonder if that’s because fewer people are getting tested.*
I guess I mean, what do these downward-moving numbers really tell us about what is happening WRT covid in the population?
