Here’s some news:

ETA: “…has wreaked havoc”? What happened to wraught?

I thought it was ‘wrought’?

At least he didn’t say “wrecked.” Which makes me want to kill. (Whoever says it. Not Snow_ Bo.)

“Wreaked” is correct. “Wrought” is an old form of “worked”.

As in “What hath God wrought?”

Although I knew a guy in college would would say, “What hath God wrung?” which takes the conversation in a different direction.

Or at least smell it.

It’s fraught.

Thank you all for the grammar lesson/discussion; I love this place for that kind of thing.

Victoria eases COVID-19 mask rules and limits on private gatherings and AFL crowds.
Masks will no longer be required required in most places starting Friday (public transportation is the major exception) in the wake of the state of Victoria being COVID-free for the first time this year - no cases at all anywhere in the state.

But they still won’t bother to open the windows on the trams with windows. Which they could have done all summer, when there was at least a tiny chance of COVID transmission on public transport.

Here’s a follow-up:

Taiwan:

Oh! Good news.

Sputnik is the one that interests me, and we almost never get news about it. I wonder what age groups they are testing.
