Hi, Thanks for writing the Louie Louie column… I would just like to point out that Jerry Mathers did not get blown up in Vietnam. He is alive and well, and raises money for diabetes research. My sister met him and gave him one of our watches at a conference.([www.medicalidwatch.com](http://www.medicalidwatch.com/) , my site, a bit of shameless promotion, sorry, but it relates to the post!)

Hi Chrisalina, welcome to the SBMB. That said, Cecil knows perfectly well that the Beave wasn’t killed in Nam. The whole schtick about the dead celebrities was a joke – the urban legends about them being dead was no more true than the urban legend about Louie Louie containing filthy lyrics.
