Did anyone besides Johnny Carson ever say “billions and billions”? I know Sagan said “bill-yins” - er, “billions” quite a bit, but I never heard him say “billions and billions.”

According to Wired, it is now scheduled to air in 2014.

Science is all about challenging the past and slaughtering sacred cows. Carl Sagan would have mocked you mercilessly if you implied to him that anything he ever wrote or produced was somehow “holy writ”. The whole cocept of blasphemy was utterly alien to him.

I merely wrote what I did to express my sentiment for Sagan’s Cosmos.
I have every intention of watching this new one.
Dr. Michio Kaku would have been a better choice. He has more gravitas. Having watched the trailer they should have used Vangelis’ theme for the music. What I heard could be the soundtrack to an average video game. The original theme could be remixed or redone just use the same theme. I hope at the least Vivaldi is reused. Cosmos gave me an introduction to classical music at an early age.
They won’t get it right, but I’ll give it a chance when it airs at any rate.

Dr. Kaku might have been a good choice.
I like Tyson and he’s a very good science educator, but Cosmos wasn’t just about making science interesting, it was about making science beautiful. Sagan left big shoes to fill, there.
So when does it start airing? Day of the week? I haven’t heard a word about this show. Is 2014 still the new date? Why was this zombie woke up?
