That would be hardcover book price right?
Where are you getting new CDs for $5.00? Even Wal-Mart is $12 or $13.
I was in the Australia last time in May or June of 2005. While we were in Sydney, the mayor made a comment to the effect of young people should move away from Sydney because the cost of living is too high for them.
My sister and brother in law paid over 500,000 for a small, old, un-air conditioned house on a fairly busy road.
Yep - that sounds about right, add another $100K if you have a water view. The cost of living in the city is really high just for somewhere to kip. Our house in rural Victoria is a 20 square renovated 3 br 2 bathroom house and was just valued at $315,000. 3 years ago it was valued at $265,000. Pay parity has to be taken into consideration too - for instance, our mortgage is $2200 a month but our joint income is about $110,000 a year.
Costco has softcover and hardcover books. I plan to be there this weekend to check. Maybe the prices have gone up.
My wife belongs to a CD club. First-rate CDs are five bucks.
