What are the names to choose from using traditional methods? Crapass, or Bappie I hope nobody succeeds. ---

IANA ichthyologist, but I’d think no. The closest relation phylogenetically is at the “order” level ( Perciformes). Most fish hybrids are the same genus at least. ---

Fertilization has been achieved in [some experiments](http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/content~db=all~content=a932194176) and eggs hatched, but the hatchlings did not survive. [Other studies](http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/content~db=all~content=a932194176) were completely unsuccessful. So basically, no. ---

No. Mixing crappie and bass would be crass.
