Heh. A few years ago, my sister-in-law told me that she was at some sort of event, and Joe Namath stuck his tongue in her ear. And produced a photo to prove it! She said he was really arrogant, and acted like she should be really flattered that he was paying attention to her. She barely knew who he was, beyond “some old football star.” She described him as “totally gross,” and if she hears his name, she shudders involuntarily. There’s some sort of karmic justice there. ---

I didn’t watch the football game but I did see the clip on David Letterman. Ironically, earlier in the day I was watching Match Game on GSN, and one of the questions had something to do with a guy who “can’t stop touching women.” 2 of the 6 answers were for “Joe Namath”. The other 4 were for “Gene Rayburn”, the host. 🙂 Of course, I was thinking “Arnold Schwarzenegger”, but that’s obviously too modern for a 70’s game show… ---
