Yep, hereā€™s my OP (which I had the foresight to cut and paste) I would like to read a thread. So here it is, 1:30 a.m. Mountain Time which is 2:30 a.m. Central where the server is. I click on a thread that has 6 replies to it. 5 minutes later, the damn thing still hasnā€™t opened. Who the fuck is hogging the server at this time of night. Oh, wait. There we go, it just timed out. Much better. Iā€™ll be amazed if I can even post this. Sorry if someone feels I shouldnā€™t bitch about the SDMB or the server, but I get a bit frustrated, so I felt like ranting. Thank you Carry on p.s. Yep, it timed out while trying to post this. You know, I can just picture the poor little hamster. Bedraggled fur, bloodshot eyes, half his ear tore off, his left front paw in a little hamster cast, and a kink in his tail. He is saying ā€œPlease, please. Donā€™t run that search for the 3 words that end in ā€“gryā€. But to no avail, the search is run. Then I come along and click on a thread. He looks at me and says ā€œHold your horses, Iā€™ll get to it when I canā€. ---

I usually read my dope about this time of night, since this is when Iā€™m off work and because this is when itā€™s usually been fast. For the last few nights itā€™s been really freaking slow. It has also started doing the lag double post thing to me. Earlier I got a nice odd double post with a ten minute lag between them. I wish there was a way to get rid of them. I wish theyā€™d appoint someone (or even me) to have no mod powers other than to delete double posts and the dumbass apologies after the double posts. I wish I could do the OP Iā€™ve been wanting to do for a while, but I donā€™t trust the server. I wish. ---
