The movies haven’t pretended to be anything other then a Herodotus-inspired fantasy. And the second movie had both he and Darius at Marathon. (though oddly one of the many reasons the second movie sucked so hard was they tried to put Thermopalye in its historical context, which made the whole plot kind of hard to follow, as it ended up jumping around in time relative to the events of the first movie, instead of just making it a straightforward sequel.) ---
