# Could we build a bridge across the Pacific Ocean?

Even better: drive your car onto the ferry and **stop** , saving you gas and wear, and the need for **supersonic 200 mile long ferries**.Oh and maybe enclose your car in some kind of standard sized \*container \*to protect it from the elements and facilitate handling and storing. The ferry will continue to move towards the other shore, and you simply take your car[go] off the other shore without having to spend all your time cooped up , driving.

Perfectly practical and eliminates the need to have the bridge span the entire length. I wonder why folks haven’t thought of this ?
