Could we get a button that takes us to the new post in a zombie thread?

Am I just (not) seeing things, or has the “View First Unread” link disappeared now?

It’s only on threads that SDMB thinks has something new for you.
And by new, it means “posted since your last activity.”

I see it in this thread, for instance. But there was a movement to start changing the options just to confuse you…so…

If it’s a thread I haven’t visited, I click on the thread link itself. The problem is that if it turns out it’s a Zombie, sometimes people just want to see the new stuff to see what brought it back.

So the problem isn’t a button that takes you to the first unread post, we have that. The problem is identifying a Zombie, something that we don’t have but which has been a long term issue.

You can go back to the thread list once you identify that the thread you’re interested in is a zombie and click on the arrow. But that’s a real pain if you open all threads in a new tab and go through the whole “New Posts” list before reading any.
