Just heard from TPTB to say that the board was back and that the front page would be back completely tomorrow. No reason given but I have inquired. They may or may not tell us; certainly I could see if there was some security issue or technical reason they preferred to keep in-house, we may never know fully what went down. The important thing is that we’re back. Apologies for the inconvenience. It did ruin my weekend and my Monday as well. Jenny your humble TubaDiva Administrator ---

And The Straight Dope Message Board google ranking drops from 1st to 7th. Your mileage will vary – google individualizes results. But just a short period of flaky web pages seems to have an effect. ---
