I ain’t gonna lie, I was skeert after a while. I mean The Dope hasn’t ever really impacted my productivity at work, but damn if there aren’t some just AWFUL commercials on tv these days. ---

It was the first time that I’d ever seen such a nice page, all blue, saying the site is down. Now I wish I’d taken a screen shot of it — almost like a planned outage, but unannounced. ---

I’m really happy to see it back. With so many old websites going under and then staying down due to things like incompatible code with the modern age, every down time could be the unintended death knell. While we should take this time to appreciate what we have, I’d rather hear everyone’s exit strategy. Mine is denial and uncontrollable sobbing. ---

so where again is our off-site meet up place again? this was like the 20 hour power outage when you realize the phone doesn’t last as long as you thought and it is really nice to have a hot meal once a day and the ice cream dripping in the freezer is not good and maybe you should get a small generator. and this time you don’t put it off until the day after the next time it happens. ---
