Honestly, I’m getting tired.

It’s late in March, and I’ve got that nasty, greasy snow-mixed-with-rain junk on my back deck. I undestand that it’s not really Spring yet (it never is at this point), and that I have to wait until the middle of April, or maybe the beginning of May, to see the sun.

I’ve accepted this. I’ve lived here my whole life, for crying out loud. I know what’s what with the weater around here. That said…

Could my Canadian friends please keep their cold air masses where they are? Because your weather is raising Holy Hell down here.

The poor [tulip queen contestants](http://www.albanyevents.org/tulip_festival/index.cfm) are once again going to be shivering behind their smiles. The ground will still be frozen, and the population will still be taking shelter inside the nearest avialable buidling.

March and April totally suck around here. Lori and I are waiting for May.

I want to dig up the Dutch idiot who thought Upstate New York (then New Amsterdam) was a good place to grow tulips so I can retroactively kick him in the dangly bits. They die in the frosts, and if they don’t we have to brush the snow off of them. Moron.

Uh oh. I read the OP, look up…

Strange, there seems to be snow falling from the sky. I think the stuff you had made its way up to Boston.

Curses. I really thought winter was gonna start being over.

The weather’s been crazy `round these parts, too.

Last week, I went shopping around noon. It was a nice 50 degrees. Ahhh. When I left the store around 1-1:30, it was SNOWING. We’ve been having wind advisories every couple of days. It’s a nice 43 right now, tho.

Y’know, when I lived in Texas, I missed the season.

Now I can’t wait to get back to Texas.

Livable
Raining
Hot
Hell
Hot
Livable
Raining
40’s for about a week
and repeat for the next year.

I laugh in the faces of Texans who say, “If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes.” “You have NO idea, buster.” I never saw a day in Austin where it went from clear and 50 to snowing in the span of an hour.

Anyway, I’m sick of the chaotic weather. I want to be able to leave my window open for more than the one nice hour a day. Or to know NOT to open it because it’ll be cold all day long. Make up your mind!

Actually Silver Serpentine,

the four seasons in Texas are officially: Mud, Hail, Furnace, and Football. Good luck making it back down here, tho’. On the minus side: I’ve already mowed the grass 3 times this month, and am currently in my annual battle with the fire ants (I must have six new mounds this week alone). On the plus side: We went waterskiing Thurs, Fri, and Sat.

Exgineer, I feel for you. I lived “up north” for awhile, and found I couldn’t take it (fled back south). Just remember, July will be here eventually, and you get to chuckle watching us cope. 🙂

Spring is cooler than normal even here in Florida. We had a few days in the low 80s, then we had a frosty morning sneak in. I had been able to leave the windows open for about a week, but the house has been closed up since Saturday.

The worst part is how dry it’s been here - we’re like 8" below normal rainfall since October, and in my county, there have been brush fires threatening some homes. My house backs to a wooded conservation area, so I’m a tad nervous, at least for one more week. Then it won’t be my house any more…

But yeah, I agree - bring on spring!

In this part of Arizona for the past week or two, the temperatures have been close to 100 degrees F! I’m wondering what happened to our spring.

(On a pleasant note though, the high temps seem to be causing the dreaded snowbirds to make a mass exodous back to their homelands. Good riddance!)

Well that was a truly crappy OP, wasn’t it?

To be honest, I don’t recall posting this. See, we had a bit too much fun after work last night and… eh, you get the picture.

I’m afraid to look around and see what else I may have done around here.

Last Monday and Tuesday we got 17 inches of snow.
This Monday and Tuesday my kids have worn their spring jackets to school.
I am definately ready for spring to get here and stay here. 🙂

Depending on who you talk to, we only have two seasons here: six month of winter and six months of rough sledding; or “winter” and “construction”.

We’re in the midst of an extended Chinook, so all the runoff is constantly airborne and glopping all over your car, where it immediately hardens to a tar-like consistency that defies most cleaning products. At night it all freezes again in icy ridges that rip up your tires, then melts again during the day. What fun.

It’s 74 and on the verge of thunderstorms here.

Oh, um, I mean… sorry for your icky weather, guys.

In that case you might want to avoid your other thread, “ **Best banks to rob while wearing a miniskirt**?”

I won’t provide a link. 😃

Thunderstorms mean lightning. Sounds like a good chance for [insert deity of your choice] to smite you most righteously. 😃
