Given someone I actively disliked but still found appealing led to some pretty torrid banging. Serious wrassling matches just to determine who got top. Eventually learned the old chestnut about " Keep your enemies closer" was coined by someone with a really perverse sense of humor. ---

Plenty of ladies in this thread have no objections to sex without the emotional component. A couple of times, I’ve met someone who I discussed the possibility of an fb/fwb relationship, but then when I met them in person, there was no attraction, but then I had sex anyway because I was too scared to tell them there is no attraction. ☹ ---

The poll results so far suggest a trend, though. I’m absolutely not a fan of sexual double standards, but the fact is that, for biological/physical/traditional reasons, male/female sex is, or can be perceived as, a potentially threatening situation for the female, and for a lady to engage in it, there usually needs to be emotional trust beforehand. If someone was to find out in retrospect that they partner didn’t like them much on a personal level, of course they might feel used / feel that trust betrayed. For men… not so much of an issue. ---
