Yes. I love the idea of corrupting a nice conservative boy. ‘‘Say it, bitch! Say it!’’ ‘‘Ohhhhh God…has no place in the governmental affairs of U.S. citizens!’’ But I agree with **as\_u\_wish**. I don’t despise people I disagree with. ---

It depends. I’m fairly liberal, but not start-raving-mad Green and Pacifica Radio AmeriKKKa is EVIL! liberal. For a year, I dated a quite loyal Republican; her parents awere Republican, her grandparents were Republican, and so on. She was pro-choice and fairly liberal when it came to gays, so politics were really secondary. She’s now an elected official - yup, Republican. There’s photos of her with prominent 'Pubbies on her mantle. We still keep in touch, and debate politics along with catching up on each others lives. An Ann Coulter or Sarah Palin-type? Nope. ---

I feel that there is a place for even people I disagree with in the political system. If you want to take it to that extreme, no, I don’t see it working out. 🙂 But a garden variety person who just has really strong feelings in the opposite directions is no problem at all. ---

No. But then I’m not into “just sex”. If there were an attractive man spouting right wing nonsense, my attraction-o-meter does not go off. My irritant-o-meter does. This goes double if he’s in a nice suit, good tie and has just bought me a drink. So many people are incredibly hot until they open their mouths… ---

Could I? I have. In addition, I think all but maybe 2 girls I’ve had sex with have been Christian, and I’m an atheist (I believe one was buddhist, one _might_ be atheist, some I know are Christian, and some I’m guessing but statistically they are probably Christians.) Now if we’re talking celebrities, hell yes I would give Michelle Malkin the high hard one in a second. Sarah Palin and Ann Coulter I’d have to be drunk but I would definitely do it. ---

I think my wife is generally wrong politically. But so what? It’s not written anywhere that she has to agree with me, and frankly I’d rather she asserted herself in such areas rather than slavishly follow my lead. It’s not like she favors solving famines by cooking babies into pies. (And yes, I know Swift was writing ironically.) ---

Oh yes, I could enjoy the sex I’m sure. I don’t fuck without being in a relationship though, at least I haven’t yet, so I don’t know if I’d get into that situation with somebody I despise. Disagree with, dislike sure… but despise? That’s a strong word. ---

In my younger days, yeah. Now, I don’t think so, the political climate has gotten so toxic and angry that I don’t think I’d be “up” for it, if ya know what I mean. Having said that, I also hafta admit that an old fashioned Rockefeller Republican might be doable. But there aren’t many like that around anymore. ---

Carville and Matalin have more in common than they have differences - they are both partisan hacks. That I agree with one of them doesn’t make it less true. But I always thought that either they have a BDSM relationship or every time they have sex it’s a “grudge fuck”. ---

I find the concept of politically despising someone to be incredibly myopic and pointless. I’ve had many a conversation with someone who thinks they are completely opposite my position. It doesn’t take much in the form of reasoned dialogue to point out how close people are on issues. ---

Carville and Maitlin have been together forever. They were probably both a lot cuter when they first became an item. Hell, _I_ was a lot cuter when they first became an item. I agree with the observations about not “despising” someone. In fact, I misread the OP’s questions as relating to someone “whose views you despise” because I just assumed that was the intent. ---
