As a counter-point to the thread on the [American citizenship test](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=474102), here’s a link to an interactive [Canadian citizenship test](http://www.cbc.ca/citizenship/test.html). I got 100%! Yay! (it would have been embarrassing to do better on the U.S. quiz than on the Canadian one…) This quiz is based on the questions set by Citizenship & Immigration Canada - a full list of sample questions is on the [CIC website](http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/look/look-22.asp), but it’s not interactive (and waaay more detailed…) ---

50% on this one with most being wild-ass guesses. And I got 85% on the US-thingy with me knowing most of it. Makes me realize I don’t know anything about the second largest country in the World… scheit. ---

100%. Whew…I was worried doing worse than I did on the American test. And this isn’t meant as snark but I’m really curious to see how much American Dopers actually know about Canada. ---

Spaniard here, got 75% in this test, and 80% in the American one. Interesting results! Just my 2 eurocent! ---

I got 60%, that means I’d make a better Canadian than I would an American 'cos I only got 50% on theirs! ---

I got one wrong…I could have sworn Wayne Gretzky was the head of state. Oh well (I really got 19/20 - I just thought the head of state was the governor general). ---

Got 65%, but purely out of sheer luck. I got the 308 districts right, for instance. Like I had the slightest clue at how many electoral districts there could be in Canada, or how is named some official building… It seems to me this Canadian test isn’t well done. Half of the questions seem to be more trivia than things that an immigrant would have to know in order to integrate well. There has been calls to introduce such citizenship tests in France too. I sure hope they won’t do that. Plus, I’m pretty certain that in countries where they exist, half the people would lose their citizenship if they had to pass such tests. ---

Got 15 out of 20 for 75%. Missed 1, 5, 10, 18, and 20. I must have gone underground for a while and missed Stephen Harper becoming PM; I had answered Paul Martin. ---
