When I was in high school, some people wrote my name as “Dough Montgummery.” ---

And here I was, all set to bitch about yet another Christmas of my in-laws spelling my name wrong, after seeing the correct spelling for 13 years now. My husband’s cousin has the same name, but she spells her version without an E, so I guess they all figure that’s the only way it can be spelled. Heaven forbid they should actually LOOK at how I spell it in all the emails and cards I’ve given THEM over the years. Hmm, I might have a little pent-up bitterness about this. 🙂 ---

Ehh… we have a (Swiss) last name that gets misspelled all the time. My kid got a part in a skate video, with his name super’ed over him doing a trick. Yep, wrong spelling. I told him to get used to it, he says he doesn’t care. If he or my wife ever does, we could always pick a new last name. Maybe Jones (Jeâuxnz?) ---
