I checked out Wikipedia’s entry on the given name Ralph and, sure enough, “Rafe” is the first pronunciation given (although [dictionary.com](http://dictionary.com) gives the “raelf” pronunciation primary status) I can’t recall ever hearing that pronunciation, and I had no idea “Ralph” could be pronounced that way. ---
