[As I understand things, when that error, and a few others, were brought to Lightfoot’s attention, the single and the album it was on had been released. It was too late to do anything about that, but Lightfoot did rework the lyrics a little to correct the errors, and he has used the corrected lyrics in concert ever since.] ---
