Anchors weigh, **Chief**! (At least I think that’s the opposite of Anchors Aweigh (\<–does that look funny to anyone else? That’s the way The Bluejackets’ Manual (12th Edition) spells it, but it still looks funny))

What boat are you on? If you’re homeported in Mayport, I’m thinking a carrier sounds logical. I’m in Tallahasse a mere 2 hours away. Email me with an ETA and we’ll hit J-ville! Always happy to meet another squid.

IKE still sports gold anchors.

IKE is homeported in Norfolk, not Mayport. No liberty here today. We’re picking up guests and media and dropping off three of our squadrons.

Yes, I can see the shoreline. We’re entering the Mayport turning basin now.

No **Michi**. Damn.

We here in J-ville just love it when the fleet’s in. You simply can not have too many guys in uniform. Especially naval officer’s unis. Yum. Course the traffic accident rate goes up about 95% but that’s o.k.

45 and a half hours!

Warm and muggy in Mayport. I can see my old berth when I was stationed aboard _USS Yosemite_.

Just waiting around for the 15-minute rain shower which happens everyday here in the summer.
