[Counter-strike source](http://store.steampowered.com/app/240/) just got released for Mac and it comes with a fairly extensive update. They basically added the features of the other source game engines like tf2 and l4d2. Now there are 144 achievements to earn in the game, a detailed personal stat system, avatars on the scoreboard, domination/revenge system, end of round display with stats about players, various other tweaks. It’s also on sale now for $6.80 if you don’t have it. I’ll probably start playing the game a bit again. I figured I’d start a thread since we might get a decent few SDMBers playing again to see the new stuff. We used to have organized SDMB CS games that were fairly fun, maybe we can figure out a way to do that again - I don’t own a server like I used to, but I have a very beefy internet connection that could easily host 4v4 type games. Gonna go play for a bit and see how it is. ---

I remember those games (and if I try hard enough, I can forget my stats). The server you ran was well organized and we had a good group of people on there. I’ll check out the updated version and see how far my skills have deteriorated. ---

I was thinking about it last week and I realized that CS was pretty much the perfect game, which is why so many people still play it. I was pissed to miss out on the beta for this a few weeks back and now I get to miss out again 'cause I’m moving and won’t get everything back up for a few weeks. ---
