I must admit that I found that provision to be confusing as well. At this point I’m chalking it up to the judge having information that I’m not privy to right now.

Damn. Missed the edit window.

My OP was certainly intended as a _Those fuckers!_ opening. And I’m getting the feeling that most of the respondants are in agreement. They just know that ass-raping would be over the top as a response.  
And this whole thread is giving me great notes as to who I’d try to hire for babysitting 😉

Phones were out, I believe. They did phone a policeman to come over and check on him, though. Kevin was too freaked from the Old Man Marley incident to let the policeman in, though, and instead cowered under the bed.
