The states that are now red may not remain so. Colorado was red a few years ago, but as the population increases it’s getting more blue. This is where gerrymandering becomes important, and voter suppression, and the need for emphasis on down-ballot races. There are more fired-up liberals getting involved these days, even running for posts that until recently Republicans have held uncontested. We need to pay more attention and get out the vote for races that affect the elections, like Secretaries of State and county clerks.
