# cows & rain

Do cows lay down when it is going to rain? Or is this another wives tale?

I have seen it both ways… SOmetimes I see cows wandering around, trying to make sense of it all, while other less-motivated cows simply give up, and say “This looks like a good place to lay down. Who’s with me?!” And then other cows will sometimes join her, as the motivated cows wander around.

I would say that this is a wives tale. Cows lay down whenever they feel like laying down. I know this as I drive by cattle everyday on my way to school. However I don’t know what cows do during the rain.
