Opalcat, I sort of figured that out after I posted.
I will turn “40” on February 18th! When I was 16 I always thought how cool it would be to turn 40 in the year 2000! Now I’m not really looking forward to it like I was when I was sooooooooo young. When I complain about being almost 40 my mother always says “Just wait until you have a daughter who’s turning 40, then you’ll really feel old”!

The night before I turned 30, I stayed up watching my laserdisc of Logan’s Run a couple of times as a sort of vigil.
My kids are the ones that will appear ancient to their kids, having been born in the previous century. At least I was born in the same century as my kids.
