(It ordinarily looks like [this](http://www.supremesteel.com/cwc/projects/bcplace/bcplace.html).) Makes me larf, it does. ---

Yikes. This is going to cost big bucks to fix. No one was hurt, thank goodness. Some fella got video of it, but I haven’t seen it, as I’ve been a work all damned day,. Crappy weather did it? Come on over to Victoria. It’s been an “interesting” winter here. ---

After the hole developed the stadium workers deflated it. ---

If it is any comfort similar deflations have happened in other stadium with inflatable ceilings, such as at the Minneapolis [Metrodome](http://www.ballparks.com/baseball/american/metrod.htm) I don’t know how expensive the repairs the the Metrodome were but I think the benefit of the inflatable roof over the rigid dome (like the New Orleans Superdome) is the lower cost of maintenance and repairs. ---

Not significantly worse than the nearly two million _per annum_ that the provincial government already spends maintaining the fecking marshmallow-in-bondage, which only serves to keep the rain off sparsely-attended CFL games and car shows. Bleh. Anything that raises awareness of what a poor investment this is is fine by me. ---

Pffft. Because of that, the final night of the Six-Day race at the Burnaby Velodrome was canceled-- it’s covered with a similar kind of dome and something about concerns and whatever sky-is-fallingness. A long drive for nothing.
