Probably a mimic octopus. When the fuzz showed up it had already disguised itself as a small shrub. ---

Years ago an elderly relative saw a possum in her yard. Every time she told the story later she claimed she saw an octopus. We tried correcting her a few times but she insisted it was an octopus. This tale has become family legend. mmm ---
