Well, my favorite band in the whole world is…The Mr.T Experience. They are on Lookout Records, along with some other strangly named favorites, like: The Gaza Strippers Auntie Christ Cleveland Bound Death Sentence The Winona Riders The Potatomen Screeching Weasel Furious George The Couch of Eureka Raooul And many, many more strangly named bands. Ahhh, wonderful glorious lookout records. And we can’t forget Bobby Joe Ebola and the Children McNuggets! ---

Oh yeah, my obligatory bad high school band that never really happened was named (or at least we agreed the most over the name) “Lousewart”, picked from the random page of the dictionary method. Apparently it is some sort of strange plant that has “Terminal Spikes”, which became our second choice for a name. ---

Boy Kicks Girl. Doesn’t that sound romantic? I also saw a band at some little in-store performance called God Hates Computers. It’s too bad they weren’t a synthesizer/sequencer band – they would have gotten bonus points for irony. ---

Here are some bands I was really into back in the 1980’s: **The Crucifucks** : From East Lansing, MI. These guys _ruled_. **The Dayglo Abortions** : Very funny punk/metal band from Canada. Great tunes, kinda reminds you of Black Sabbath. And funny (but sick!) lyrics. I believe they’re still around. **The Dead Milkmen** : These guys were great. I used to sit at home for hours on end trying to figure out all the bass lines on “Big Lizard in My Backyard.” ---

I always liked Seven Year Bitch. Used to go see the Cows once in a while. Liquor Bike. Ditch Witch. The Meerkats. I’ve got a cd I paid a dollar for by a band called Spot 1019 (“This World Owes Me a Buzz”, I’m sure we’ve all heard of it), which had guest musicians from The Worms and The Wannabe Texans. Also was lucky enough to see Janitor Joe once, and snagged an autographed copy of their single “Boyfriend” b/w “Yellow Car” by drinking beer with them. Their bass player was a quite impressive young lady named Kristin Pfaff, who went on shortly thereafter to play with Courtney Love before she was found dead in a bathtub. Sad thing to hear; she was really cool. ---

My cousin in law is in a band called Butz. They’re good! I’m in an a capella group called the AKA Fellas. ha ha ha. If you’re counting bands that me and my friends have made up but never put together: SIDS Captain Galaxy and the Showdowns And one from Dave Barry: Six Italic Squirrels ---

A friend of mine used to be in a band called Cuckoo Malloy. I’m in a fake band called Jesusfish. We’re working on a project with Bob Dylan called “Whiny Metaphors about Jesus.” Mr. Bungle is rather odd too. ---

For the obvious, there’s **The The** , **Strawberry Alarm Clock** and **Throbbing Gristle** , but I once saw albums by a band called **Fearless Iranians From Hell**. Scott Adams, creator of _Dilbert_, after writing a series of strips in which Dilbert packed his clothing in Pringles tube-style containers, suggested “ **Tubular Luggage** ”.
