This bothered me endlessly because _How could babies Limbo since they couldn’t stand up yet?_
No, man, that just means they’d be really good at it!

I beleived and still do that my stuffed animals and dolls came alive at night to play and dance in my room when I was asleep.
I have shared my experiences with my children and will re-arrange their animals sometimes in the middle of the night.
My little one has already experienced this phenomenon and she is just 8.

This was when she was 4 or 5. We were driving by the local Volunteers of America store (like Salvation Army) where she loved to dig through stuff and she asked if we could stop. I explained to her that, it being Sunday, the store was closed but she didn’t settle for that and wanted to know why they weren’t open when “we” wanted to stop. So I explained that the people who worked there wanted to be with their families and whatnot and couldn’t work all the time, adding, “They don’t live in the store you know,” meaning it sarcastically.

Well it turns out she thought they did. So we talked and I explained things. When we were done she got very stern and said, “Well, you got to TELL me these things. I’m just a little kid you know!” She was generally upset with me that I had overlooked this part of her education.

I like your kid, **Pábitel**!

My parents subscribed to AOL as soon as it was released for Windows. My six-year-old mind was immediately taken by this ‘internet’ thing, but beyond my father’s explanation\*, it lets computers talk to each other, I didn’t understood how it worked.

Then when watching an old movie it dawned on me. The internet uses the phone lines, right? And it’s a new technology. Movies have taught me that when telephones were new, there was an operator in a little office somewhere you had to manually connect the calls. So, obviously, this new “internet” thing worked similarly. If I clicked on my inbox, then some guy at a computer in the AOL offices saw my mouse move and click there. He then found the particular cable my modem connected through, and plugged it into the proper socket in the wall.

\*My father is an engineer and a geek. Asking him how such-and-such technology works means you’ll get a twenty-minute college-level lecture on the technicalities of it.
