Im thinking that it could be possibly (refering to that pyramid on back of dollar) that it could be a sort of tool directing those who have certain types of experiances mabey tool of some philosophical work. there is some crazy stuff going on in the world that majority are completely ignorant too. Welcome to the Straight Dope Message Boards, **jjjkkklll** , glad to have you with us. When someone starts a thread, it is helpful to other readers to provide a link to the column you’re responding to. There’s a lot of old columns back there (Cecil has been writing weekly for over 30 years) and so it’s not always clear what’s intended. I’ve appended a link to the column that I assume you’re referencing. No big deal, you’ll know for next time, and, as I say, welcome! I’ve also slightly edited your title, by adding some info what the thread is about. Again, we have lots of threads and discussions here, and it’s helpful to other readers if the thread titles are specific. ---

Look if we few who _“know”_ tell the clueless majority who _“don’t know”_ about the _“crazy stuff”_, then the clueless majority would _“know”_ too. Then how would we be able to tell those who _“know”_ from those who _“don’t know”_ apart?. I mean besides from our tin foil underwear. Wait. Rhode Island is metaphysical and a large part of this world?? I thought it was just a small state on the east coast. I’m seriously confused now. ---

Program crash! now you are hitting the crazy stuff. ask anyone in rhode island (the state) how it got it’s name, and they will tell you that it’s the name of an island, but nobody knows which one it was. look on a map and you will see rhode island (the island) is the island the city of newport is on. ask anyone what island newport is on, and they will tell you aquidneck island. also, try to find south county and chariho on a map. but everyone knows where they are. ---
