Oh, he means his little rant about Ed being a liar, where he claims the message boards benefit the Reader, because of all the banner ads. I’ve never seen a banner ad, because I go straight to the _message board_ homepage, not the Straight Dope homepage. He’s technically right, apparently there is one banner ad on the column’s homepage, but he’s still a moron, because that ad has no bearing on the message boards. ---

So, B&A, since you never hesitate to shoot your idiot mouth off… … Got those figures as to just HOW MUCH those ads benefit the Reader? (Ironically, I checked the ad on the SD home page just now… and the ad was one for the Reader itself. How do they generate revenue by advertising themselves?) ---

I said it does not cost much to keep a message board going - CCL asked for some possible benefit, I said banner ads and recognition. Looks like somebody forgot to mention **Opal**! Evidently someone else has no reading comprehension. On the first page, the OP claimed that the Reader gets benefit from these boards, but some of us are too stupd to see how. So, I asked for an explanation, and the request went ignored. Spoofe, you like some others here are so dim it is really not worth the effort but my comment about being a member and about you was not about superiority, that is only your insecurity coming out, it was about how fucking stupid you must be to have such an issue with how you are going to determine the best method to use to pay $5 to become a member.
