You’re right, I was thinking of it in terms of Christian fundamental opposition to birth control, and that sacrificing every other child for the sins of the next would be … wasteful.

But … you can always use a good harvest, and maybe therre’s a volcano god to appease not to mention ofther short-tempered gods, so I say – sacrifice away!

Granted, but, if we assume a received objective morality, that simply suggests that the “objective morality” fails to prevent the objectionable behavior just as much as the “naturalistic” one does. :dubious:
