If you were a dog who peed on a wall, I’d be okay with marking territory as a measure of success. But you’re ostensibly trying to do something more than that. And you’re an absurd failure at it. I read the Wikipedia article. I fail to see anywhere in there where you or your union took a single action that actually helped feed, shelter, or comfort anyone. You’re a joke, a dog-peeing-on-walls joke, a monkey-masturbating-at-the-zoo joke. That megaphone in your hand? It serves two purposes: 1. It makes you feel powerful and righteous; and 2. It undermines your cause, by alienating potential allies. You rightly detected some anger in me, but you wrongly diagnosed it as self-loathing. You’re close, but not quite: rather, you detect shame, shame that when I was younger I listened to bloviating assholes like yourself and thought that we could make the world better by shouting louder. I wasted years thinking that was a good approach: even when I doubted, I got shouted down by assholes like you, and I sometimes went along because I thought maybe all that confidence and fast-talk was the result of some actual wisdom in my elders, instead of recognizing it as someone who couldn’t get anything real accomplished and so was reduced to lecturing teenagers as a way of feeling great about himself. I know your type. It’s a pathetic, contemptible type to be. Leave the teenagers alone, figure out what you want to accomplish, and then find a way to move toward that accomplishment. Hint: writing on buildings in chalk moves you AWAY from your goal. ---

Oh, he’ll come around when he realizes being a communist isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Of course, he doesn’t say he is one, but he sure has the script down pat. Something just occurred to me. Maybe the next time the city/province/national government builds an overpass, they’ll design it more like a tunnel than a bridge. ---

I have to say, you folks are some of the densest, most unpleasant and obnoxious people I’ve encountered in a while. Feel free to stay and back-slap each other, but I’m done here. It’s pretty clear to me that none of you have any genuine interest in learning, communicating, or understanding. There’s some pretty abnormal psychology going on in here, and it’s not mine. Given your antisocial wolfpack mentality, I am not at all surprised that empathy is in short supply. Go back to your hugboxes, folks, the show is over. ---

My guess is the “other” dense, unpleasant, and obnoxious people you’ve encountered are your cohorts. Given the fact that I’m not engaged in vandalizing things, I’d have to say I’m not antisocial. But your mind is closed to any but your own little world of fake oppression and hating anyone who actually works for a living and contributes to society. The simple fact is: you are spoiled. You show all the characteristics of a person who has gone through life with a handful of folks telling him he’s doing great, or convincing himself he’s doing great stuff. In turn anyone who disagrees with you becomes, in your mind, either a faceless oppressor or just one of those spoiled middle-classers who dare to try and make a living on your panhandling area. I’m certain that very few folks want to argue with you because what you are selling is baseless, vapid, class conflict narcissism. You’ve taken this lack of confrontation to mean that you must be right and they are afraid to debate you. But now you come here, and you get some actual resistance to what you must consider groundbreaking ideas. Not only that, you get people who were in the same spot many years ago and abandoned it because they grew up. Your attempts to defend your actions , your selfishness, and your self-promotion fell flat when they encountered experienced ears and minds. You couldn’t handle that so you stomped away in a cloud of bitterness. You are not seeing backslapping and self-support here. The board leans liberal but there are more than enough political views around to represent a good part of the spectrum, and most of them have found your views repulsive. You’ve manage to unite them, which means a) your views & actions are nowhere near defensible or b) you really, really suck at explaining your views. So now you stomp off in a huff, back to the Wobblys who will pat you on the back and circle jerk with you,all while telling the broader audience of this board that somehow they are all wrong and that a handful of mendicants should be allowed to seize a high-traffic piece of public property.
