I thought she was computer generated, and she creeps me out. I have to change the channel, and I didn’t know specifically which gadget it was for until this thread. ---

Right now Palm only has 2 phones but they are adding a 3rd model similar to the Pre. They no longer make PDAs. It seems they are betting the company on the Pre so a risky ad like these is not typical. ---

I don’t find the ads creepy, nor do I understand why they’re even noteworthy. It looks like a pale, not very expressive actress reading pseudo-profound lines from cue cards. Ooh, a CGI background, shiny! Is this really all it takes to make a stir these days? I would be completely unsurprised to learn that the first comments about the “creepy” ad were seeded by the ad firm itself. And I’m NEVER buying a Palm Pre. ---
